I got my grades. I got a B in Accounting and B+ in Information Systems. Not bad. I'm not all that concerned about getting totally awesome grades. To me, a B in accounting actually is - totally awesome.

What else. Oh. I applied to this IT Leadership program awhile back and found out today that I was accepted. Cool. Only problem is that it is on Wednesday nights, which would mean I'd have to drop Advertising (it doesn't start until June 16th or something... same time this program starts). I don't think that's a big deal. The class is only 1.5 credits and it won't put me behind, because as things are now, I will only need to take 4.5 credits my last semester at Katz (a 3 credit class and a 1.5 credit class). So now I'll just have to take 6 like I normally do. No big. I have to discuss it with my boss, though, because it starts at 4pm on Wednesdays and I work until 4:30. We'll see.

In other news, Nate and I are going on a cruise with his parents the week of Memorial Day. It leaves from New Jersey and travels up towards Canada. Here is where it goes:

I think it will be interesting... we can take Moosey back to his home land of Canada to visit and see Candian stuff. It should be a lot different than the Caribbean cruise.

Tomorrow is Friday. The first part of the day is probably going to suck because I know I have a ton of crap to do at work. I have to remember to pay rent. Speaking of rent / apartments, my sister recently moved into a new place. It's pretty nice. Nate and I are going to call and see if they have any cool apartments for us.

Not much else to report. Econ SUCKS. I knew it would the instant the professor said that the class highly relies on calculus. Ethics isn't bad... there is no group work and it's already almost over! June 7th is the final.

I'm thinking about getting another tattoo in the coming weeks. More on that soon.

Lately I have really been craving wheaty things. Like a big chunk of pure wheat. I guess that is better than the craving I was having for the insides of eggs over Easter... you know, how like when athletes on TV drink the egg? That's what I wanted to do. I know, gross. I didn't do it. Maybe I just wanted to eat something of a yolky consistency.

The other day, Nate and I bought a ridiculous amount of groceries. We seem to always buy a lot of food. But anyways, our freezer is packed full right now, but for the last 3 days we have been going to Giant Eagle and getting big salads from their salad bar for dinner. I love salad bars with lots of stuff. I wish I had one in my apartment.

I had an interview today at Chatham College. So much for keeping my interviewing plans secret. I don't care. Chatham College is cool though... I've never been back there. It was like a forest full of ladies hidden in the middle of Pittsburgh.

Today was "Administrative Professional's Day." My boss had to be out of town for a convention, though, so we celebrated in the office yesterday! They told me to come into her office and they had a vase with pink flowers, a card, and a cake. It was really nice, actually. I think some managers forget that a really easy way to keep your employees happy is just to show them that you appreciate them every once in awhile. Plus, everyone likes an excuse to eat cake. And it wasn't even chocolate cake! Am I the only person on the planet that hates chocolate cake?

I got some vegan marshmallows the other day. I didn't order them... they just came with a pair of shoes I ordered. They were really good. Nate is afraid to eat stuff like that. I don't know why... it's no grosser than eating boiled ANIMAL TENDONS. Mmm... connective tissue. Gelatin: Also known as "animal jelly." If that isn't enough to make someone not want to eat it, then I don't know what is.

I'm thinking that my newest tattoo should be the TiVo logo.

Eh? Oh yeah... Jim Jed, I was forced to use you as a reference due to a lack of other prospects. So, if someone calls you, try not to pretend you don't know me. Unless it is me. Then you can go ahead and do that. :) Just kidding!

Woo! What an exciting weekend. Here's the low-down:

Friday we went to The Sharp Edge. Saturday, we went to Liz's wedding. It was a nice day for a white wedding, it was nice day to start again!!!!!!!!! Anyways. Friday and Saturday night I watched Kill Bill Vol. 1 (in pieces), and Sunday we went to see Kill Bill Vol. 2. I guess I didn't hate it. I will admit that I was expecting much worse.

Here is something interesting... you can calculate your ecological footprint. According to the site, my lifestyle causes me to use 12 acres of land. I think that is per year. Not really sure. But they said the average person in my country uses like 24 acres, so I obviously rock! Kim just emailed me and said she only uses 11. What a bitch. My food footprint was like more than an acre less than her's though. Oink, oink, baby!

School starts next week already. Man. I can't believe that I am starting my summer semester before some school even finish their spring semesters!!! What crap. Oh well. At least I get lots of time off in August.

Spring has finally sprung. Actually, more like winter died and summer reared it's ugly head. Not that I'm complaining. I'm just disappointed that we seem to be transitioning straight from cold weather to hot weather more and more. I think it is supposed to be more springy this week though. And you know what that means... rain. I hate rain! I hate rain more than snow. I wouldn't mind snow if it was like, warm and didn't melt. Like confetti. That would be fun.

Oh yeah. After Liz's wedding, I naturally decided to come home and look up the laws about marrying your cousin in different states. Not that I want to marry my cousin, but because I really needed to know. Did you know it is legal in like 26 states to marry your cousin? Who knew. And the law in Utah was great... you either had to be over 65 or 55 and older and show proof that neither you nor your partner (cousin) could produce children!!! Amazing.

Well, I'm off to find more important facts on the Internet. Viva La Bam!

I just got back from Nate's parents' house for Easter. Today is finally the end of a hectic week, but I guess since it is Sunday, it isn't really the end-end of the week.

My grandma (Bupcha) passed away on Monday. I was very sad about it and went home for the viewing and funeral. Unfortunately, I also had my two finals this week and had to come back to Pittsburgh right after both things both days to take a test.

Thursday night, I went to Hemmingway's with some people from my classes to hang out and blow off some steam and wish each other a happy 2 week "summer vacation" before our summer session starts.

After work Friday, I watched The Apprentice really quickly and then Nate and I left for the 4 hour trek to his house. We got in around 10pm and his mom made a bounty of snacks for us to eat and then we went to sleep. Saturday, his grandparents came over and we ate lunch and played dominoes, where I once again prevailed as the ultimate domino champion. We went to Borders later that night to meet up with one of his friends and chatted it up. Today, we just ate food and then left around 1 to come back. I am happy to be back so I can lay around and so my allergies to crazy farm animal poo or whatever don't act up anymore.

So, what am I going to do with all this free time with no school for the next few weeks? My plan is to do as much of nothing as possible. We are going to my old pal Liz's wedding next weekend, but other than that I have nothing planned. Yay for no plans.

No new news on the apartment hunt yet. We saw 2 from Franklin West last weekend I think. Actually 3. They were all very nice, but for one reason or the other, we decided for now that we aren't interested in any of them. Mostly because the 2 really nice ones had teeny kitchens and no dishwasher and were pretty pricey to not have those amenities. The third one was nice and inexpensive, but was in a basement and I'm looking forward to living above ground after our lease is up here. Also, the stairway down to the apartment seemed narrower than our door is for this apartment, which could cause significant moving issues. If you can recall, we had to give Nate's couch away and buy a new smaller one because his wouldn't fit through our door.

I finished Wario Ware for the Game Boy. Now my life has no meaning. We did get Wario Ware for the Game Cube, but I wasn't aware that it was like the same game. Kind of boring. It is fun though, because now there is multi player action. We just need some friends or something so that we can utilize that.

I bought some shoes the other day. I have so many shoes... but really, I'm buying new shoes because I am trying to phase out the shoes that I hate. Unfortunately, I have to return one pair because they are too small because I have massive feet. These are the shoes I am keeping...

The ones I have are brown. Now, the shoes that I really want don't seem to exist in the United States in my size. This is them:

They are sold in the UK in my size, but I would end up paying like over a hundred dollars for the shoe and shipping and I'm not sure if it is worth it. Plus if they don't fit, that will be really annoying. So that's what's up in my never ending saga to find shoes that fit.

Nothing else new... I'm off to see what I can find to snack on.

4/3/04

It's Friday night and the mood is right. Gonna have some fun, show you how it's done, TGIF.

Hey homies. This weekend is my least favorite weekend of the year... daylight savings time. Screw you daylight savings time! I think there is a part of Indiana that doesn't celebrate DST... I'm moving there.

What else... oh yeah. Next week = finals. Suckz. I've already been studying for accounting for like 3 days. Not 3 days straight. End the pain of accounting!

So, Nate and I looked at an apartment the other day. 2, actually, and they weren't that great. They had a lot of rooms, but they were kind of skanky rooms with creaky floors. The following is my apartment wish list: in a nice apartment complex (not a remodeled house), dishwasher, a/c (preferably central air), newish kitchen appliances, not crap bathroom, thermostat controlled heat instead of radiators, noise free, affordable, excellent management and maintenance staff, close to a bus stop that gets me to where I need to go, parking for Nate, and an intercom / buzzing in system. I think that's it. I probably won't get all of that stuff, but that's what I want. A balcony would be nice, too. Oh yeah, and it has to come stocked with free snacks. We are going to look at another one through Franklin West tomorrow in Shadyside. It better rock.

Wario Ware for Game Cube comes out Monday I think. Great! I thought I needed a little distraction from studying.

This entry is boring because I am boring. I haven't done anything fun lately. We cleaned the apartment the other day because people were coming to look at it. I was going to set Moosey up with the remote in his hand watching "A Llama Story," but I didn't think of that at 8am.

Lately, TiVo has been recording awesome 80s Nickelodeon game shows for me, like Nick Arcade and Make the Grade. Make the Grade rocks. Almost every episode has a question regarding Motley Crue, and the prize is always a copy of NES's "Double Dragon II." The thing that annoys me though is that the grand prize for every Nick show from that era was almost always a trip to Universal Studios Florida... hello? That is where Nickelodeon is, isn't it? I think so, because I was there. I saw the "Gak Fountain" and everything. I asked Kim about it and she claims to not remember it. Stupid bitch. How could you forget gak? I was also watching Double Dare the other day... I hate the stupid physical challenges on that show. It is always something ridiculous like "Catch a pancake on a flipper," or anything involving big pants and pies. Isn't Marc Summers dead? That isn't funny. He was in the Super Sloppy Obstacle Course of Death. Wait a minute, he isn't dead. The guy from Family Feud is. Marc Summers hosts "WinTuition" on the Game Show Network now, or recently. I wish I had a pair of glasses with a little built in TV inside, so I would never miss awesome game shows.

I would just like to take this time to point out that TiVo rocks and my life would be significantly different without it... it would suck, as a matter of fact. Nate even likes it and he says he doesn't like TV (he lies). If you don't have TiVo and you want it to record random shows for you like "Roc," "Boy Meets World," or weird random programs about show-pigs... then get it! It's waiting for you.
